Daniel Johnson, 62, Florence, KY, formerly of Marengo

Daniel Johnson, 62, Florence, Ky., formerly of Marengo, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Nov. 24, 1953, to Myron and Elizabeth Johnson in Rolla, Mo. 

On Aug. 24, 2013, he married Cheryl Wilson.

He worked as a capacity planner for Vantiv. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Harley rider.  He always had a way to make people smile, and he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Carissa (Brynn) Johnson, Cianna (Max) Richardson, Celicia (Adam) Johnson Cassel, Joseph (Kim) Johnson and Charlyna (Dylan) Johnson-Stark; his children’s mother, Jan Johnson; two grandchildren, Kiersea Cassel and Kaleigha Cassel; two brothers, Mike Johnson and Randy Johnson; three sisters, Thersea (Gara Jackson) Johnson, Tami Lesniak and Mary Kay (Tom) Smith; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Randels and Suzanne Draffkorn-Sturlis; a brother-in-law, James Kiefer; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gary Johnson and Anthony Johnson.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, until the memorial service at 3p.m. at  Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock.
