Dane Kent Walkington passed away peacefully at age 74 on Oct. 4, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. His son and daughter were by his side.
He was born in Woodstock.
Dane is survived by his three children, Ben, Will (Meridel), and Clair (Cory), as well as his three grandchildren, August, Leo, and Eloise. He also leaves behind his mother, Lura, and three brothers, Bill (Cindy), Tod (Deb), and Rob (Kathy).
Dane was preceded in death by his father, George Walkington.
An avid lover of nature, art, and discussion, Dane would recommend you explore the works and perspectives of Willem de Kooning, Nathan Oliveira, and Georgia O’Keeffe, among many others.
A memorial of Dane’s life will be held at a future date.
