Clarence Smith

 

Clarence Smith, 70, Wonder Lake, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Inpatient Care Unit at Centegra Specialty Hospital – Woodstock. 

He was born Sept. 13, 1941,  in Manila, Ark., to Judd and Tinie (Grimsley) Smith.  

On Nov. 4, 1961, he married Delores Bauman in Harvard.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, water skiing and gardening.  

He worked at the Woodstock Die Casting Company for 19 years until the plant closed. He also worked at Walmart for 12 years.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially children.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Everett Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, George, Jewell, Harold and Jesse Redman.

A graveside service was held May 5 at Capron Cemetery, Capron.

Arrangements were made by Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home.
