Charles Loomis Dubsky

 

Charles Loomis Dubsky, 70, Wonder Lake, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at his home.

He was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa, to Harry and Esther (Loomis) Dubsky. On May 5, 2007, he married Ann Johnson.

He was dedicated to doing good for children and the environment. 

He was active in the community, having volunteered for the McHenry County Conservation District. He was a member of the Hebron Township Planning Commission. He was heavily involved with the ELA soccer club in Lake Zurich and was a school bus driver for the Alden-Hebron School District. 

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Julie (Charlie) Filipek, Lauren (Spencer) Overman and Marcie Dubsky; five grandchildren, Jake Richards, Jocelyn Silovich, C.J. Filipek, Parker Filipek and Piper Filipek; three stepchildren, Jason, Jessica and Jennifer Johnson; and two sisters, Sarah Mirkin and Carolyn (John) Burr.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation was March 31 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, Crystal Lake.
