Bette J. Brown

Bette J. Brown, 76, Woodstock, died March 11, 2017, at her home.

She was born July 22, 1940, to Clifford and Helen (Pease) Stock in Belvidere.

On Oct 1, 1960, she married Ronald H. Brown in Woodstock.

Bette was a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Woodstock. She was employed for many years at the State Bank of Woodstock. She volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the Clothing Closet, Woodstock. She enjoyed cross-stitching and reading. She enjoyed going to her children and her grandchildren’s special events. She was loved and she will be missed.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Marybeth) Brown and Kurt (Heather) Brown; a daughter, Deann (Patrick) Ryan; six grandchildren, Nora, Colleen, Joe and Michael Brown and Liz and Alexander Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sisters, Carol Lipinsky and Judy Bradkowski; and two brothers, Chuck and Rick Stock.

The family would like to thank T.J. for her loving care she gave to Bette that allowed her to stay in her home.

A memorial visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 18, until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 401 St. John’s Road. Burial will be private.
