Anne E. Harding

Anne E. Harding, 72, Woodstock, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 16, 1940, in Chicago, to Robert B. and Margery (Garvy) Emery.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Woodstock and served as a Deacon and on the Outreach Commission.  She ministered to newcomers and members unable to attend church.  

She also was a very active volunteer in the community, working with the Home of the Sparrow, the Woodstock Food Pantry, Gavers Community Cancer Foundation and the Memorial Hospital for McHenry County Auxiliary. 

She founded and for many years owned and operated the Blossom Shop of Lake Geneva and Woodstock.

Survivors include her partner of many years, Thomas D. Harding; a daughter, Tracy Harding; three sons, Stephen (Lisa) Harding, Andrew (Jocelyn) Harding and Bradley (Tricia) Harding; eight grandchildren, Kelsey Harding, Parker Harding, Signe Harding, Linzie Harding, Lauren Harding, Taylor Harding, Frank Bungay and Stella Bungay; a brother, Robert B. Emery Jr.; a sister, Tobey (Dennis) Lannert; and several nieces, nephews, and good friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation was Oct. 16 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.  

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at First Presbyterian Church, 2018 N. Route 47,  Woodstock.

The Rev. Paul Nelson will officiate.  

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock.

Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church; Home of the Sparrow; the Woodstock Food Pantry; or Gavers Community Cancer Foundation.
