Alice Marie Walsh

Alice Marie Walsh, 77, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Centegra Specialty Hospital – Woodstock.

She was born Nov. 25, 1934, in unincorporated McHenry County to Everett and Dorothy Lusz.

She was a gracious wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She  enjoyed lunch with her friends at her favorite restaurant. She also enjoyed horses and never missed a bull-riding event on TV. She was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo. 

She retired from Arnolds Engineering, Marengo, after 41 years.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Billings, John (Angela) Walsh and Paul Walsh;  a daughter, Cynthia Billings; four grandchildren, Thomas and Ruger Walsh, Shannon Billings and Taylor Postlethwait; and three stepchildren, James Walsh, Robert Walsh and Judy Walsh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Walsh; her parents; and a sister, Phyllis Ramon.

Visitation was  Aug. 10 and 11 at the Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. The funeral was Aug. 11 at the funeral home.

Interment was at  McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
