Beverley Jean (Berst) Horner, 75

Beverley Jean Horner, 75 of Woodstock, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on Nov.11, 2025.

She was born in Chicago on Oct. 2, 1950, to Samuel and Opal (Richmond) Berst.

Beverley retired from Blain’s Farm & Fleet in Woodstock. She enjoyed bicycling and kayaking in her spare time. Her smile was infectious and her laughter contagious. She cherished spending time with her family as well as the many visits she had with her sister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Horner; her sons, Patrick Horner of South Beloit Ill., and Edward Horner of Carbondale, Ill.; her brothers, David (Nancy) Berst of Kansas City, Kan., Bill (Janet) Berst of Charlotte, N.C., and Bob (Brenda) Berst of Vandalia, Ill.; her sister, Mary Landers of Carbondale; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and sister-in-laws, Sheila McNabb, Denise Halupka, and Noelle Neiss. Her parents preceded her in death.

A celebration of Beverley’s life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Woodstock Moose Lodge, 406 Clay St., Woodstock, IL 60098, starting with a memorial service followed by a luncheon and fellowship.
