Harry “Mike” Wagenaar of Grayslake, formerly of Woodstock, died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with prostate cancer on Feb. 14, 2022, at the age of 77.

Harry loved his family and is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 54 years; son, Michael (Tanya); and daughters, Susan (Mark) Remshak, Melissa (Bob), Rebecca (Tim) Miller, and Andrea (Chris) Mullin; nine grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Tom; sister Joanna; and many nieces and nephews.

Harry enjoyed playing golf and watching sports. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. He also loved hearing and telling bad jokes. Christmas was his favorite holiday, and future Christmas celebrations will be filled with warm memories of him.
