Eola ‘Birdie’ Deppmeier

Eola “Birdie” Deppmeier, 85, Johnsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at Hearthstone Manor Nursing Home in Woodstock.

She was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Chicago to John and Eola Walters.

She married Henry “Jim” Deppmeier Nov. 7, 1956.

She worked as a medical assistant in Dr. P. Narang’s office for many years. She also worked at the McHenry hospital and spent many hours volunteering in the emergency room. She was an active member at Chain O’ Lakes Evangelical Covenant Church in Johnsburg, now called Meadowland Church. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Survivors include two sons, Brent (Suzanne) Deppmeier and Brad (Laura) Deppmeier; a granddaughter, Becky Seemann; and many friends and extended family who called her Aunt Birdie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; the father who raised her, Willard Hillman; her husband; four brothers, Jim, Jack, Wayne and Ron; and a daughter, Erin Seemann.

Interment was private.
