Robert E. Hurley

 

Robert E. Hurley, 81, Burlington, Wis., died Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Springfield, Ore. 

He was born May 7, 1930, in Woodstock to Dennis and Grace (Scott) Hurley. 

He attended St. Mary Grade School and High School in Woodstock.  He graduated from St. Mary Seminary in Crystal Lake in 1949 and Queen of Apostles Seminary in Madison, Wis., in 1953.

He spent his entire working career in drugstore pharmacy, beginning at Mitchel’s Drug Store in 1946, until retiring Jan. 9, 2001, from K-Mart in Woodstock.

Survivors include a nephew, Dennis Hurley, Harrisburg, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard “Dick” Hurley; and a sister-in-law, Angeline Hurley.

Visitation was April 1 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.  

The funeral Mass was April 2 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock.  The Rev. Johnson Lopez   officiated.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock.

Memorial Masses would be appreciated.
