Mary Margaret Vohs

 

Mary Margaret Vohs, 71, Woodstock, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at Mercy Harvard Hospital.

She was born March 22, 1941, in East Troy, Wis., to Chester Charles and Hattie Agnes (Drews) Marzahl.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Union and worked as the emergency room coordinator at Woodstock Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years

She loved playing cards, bingo, cooking and baking, bird-watching and garage sales. Her first love was her family.

Survivors include three sons, Matthew (Patti) Vohs, Warren (Somporn) Vohs and Ronald (Kelly) Vohs; three daughters, Kelly (Michael) Donovan, Kathy (Doug) Parker and Cassandra (Philip) Vohs-Demann;  five grandchildren, Lindsay (Sean) Keisman, Jordan Parker, Abigail Vohs, Bradley Vohs and Matthew Vohs; a soon-to-be first great-grandchild; a sister, Betty Jane Ross; an aunt, Ruth Wisnauski; and her former husband, Ronald O. Vohs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Nowak.

Funeral services were private and a celebration of her life was held May 25 at her daughter Kelly’s home in Woodstock.
