Erin Eola Seeman

Erin Eola Seeman, 48, Woodstock, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, while vacationing with her husband in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

She was born Dec. 22, 1964, in McHenry to Henry “Jim” and Eola “Birdie” (Walters) Deppmeier.

On May 12, 1990, she married Robert F. “Bob” Seemann in Huntley. She graduated from Johnsburg High School in 1983.

She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Woodstock and enjoyed working with children, especially those with special needs. She was a caring and nurturing person.

She enjoyed vacationing in Jamaica, one of her favorite places in the world, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Seeman; her mother; two brothers, Brent (Suzanne Schumann) Deppmeier and Brad (Laura) Deppmeier; seven nieces and nephews, Samantha Seemann, Kayla Shivley, Bradley Seemann, Joseph Shivley Jr., Carter Shivley, Andrew Johnson and Alexander Johnson; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, and at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 2918 S. Country Club Road, Woodstock.

Memorials can be sent to the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association, 285 Memorial Drive, Crystal Lake, IL 60014 or to Pioneer Center, 725 N. Madison St., Woodstock, IL 60098.
