John J. Grasser Sr., 55, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Centegra Hospital- Woodstock.
He was born Nov. 19, 1958, to Lloyd and Michiko (Ogata) Grasser in Woodstock.
He worked at Brown Printing in Woodstock in the IT department. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan and he enjoyed reading. Mostly he loved his time spent with his family. He will be remembered as a loving and caring person.
Survivors include a son, John Grasser Jr.; two sisters, Anna Grasser Rehorst and Kathryn (Jay Berman) Margason; nieces and nephews, Michelle Rehorst, Jaclyn (Chet) Haas, Joseph (Melissa) Margason, Jacob Margason and Nicklaus Berman; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-niece, Violet Margason.
Visitation was Jan. 17 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home. Services and burial were private.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
