Frank J. Schmuck

Frank J. Schmuck, 60, Woodstock, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 24, 1954, to Nicholaus and Maria Schmuck in Austria. He came with his family to the United States when he was 3 years old.

On Nov. 30, 1974, he married Valerie Wahl in Woodstock. 

He co-owned Service First In Transportation with his wife.

He had a great sense of humor. He loved to spend time with his family. He was a very caring, fun, hardworking man. He loved playing guitar, music, being outdoors, gardening, horseback riding, scuba diving and had a very special love for animals.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Feller and Angela Schmuck, both of Woodstock; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Conner Feller; two sisters, Mary (Erv) Mellert, Prospect Heights, and Helene (Joe) Litz, Prairie View; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Schmuck and Joseph Schmuck.

A memorial service was held May 30 at St. Mary Catholic Church.
