Douglas G. Hames, 52, Wonder Lake

Douglas G. Hames, 52, Wonder Lake died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at Centegra Hospital- McHenry. 

He was born June 1, 1963, to Jerold and Bessie (Morton) Hames in Waukegan.

He worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years, specializing in fine interior woodwork. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and was a member of the Harvard Sportsmen Club. He got along with everyone he met. 

Survivors include his father; two sons, Jacob and Andrew Hames; two sisters, Rhonda (Gary) Hall and Carolyn (Robert) Montgomery; two nieces Rebecca (Robert) Watkins and Katelin Hall; a nephew Zak (Amanda) MacManaman; and his girlfriend, Dawn Reader.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 5 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock.

Memorials can be made to Habitat for Humanity.
