Elgin O. Zuhlke, 90, Delavan, Wis., formerly of Harvard

Elgin O. Zuhlke, 90, Delavan, Wis., formerly of Harvard, died suddenly Thursday, March 3, 2016, in Delavan.

He was born May 3, 1925, to Otto and Anna L. (Ames) Zuhlke in Coloma, Wis.

On June 1, 1946, he married Irenee Fritsch in Harvard. She died March 4, 2011.

He was a jack-of-all-trades. He worked in the dairy business at Dean Foods for many years, later working at Bowman’s, Harvard, and Borden’s in Woodstock. He could fix anything. He was very talented in small engine repair, carpentry, welding and anything else he decided to put his mind to. He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include three children, Keith (Charlene) Zuhlke, Sherri (Steven) Cutts and Michael (Colleen) Zuhlke; five grandchildren, Johnathan (Janel), Jason, Tiffiney, Sarah and Michelle (Jeramiah) Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Damian, Angel, Arwen and Dominic; and a sister, Lorena Zuhlke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a sister, Mavis Biava.

A memorial gathering and Mass were held March 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Harvard. Inurnment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard.
