Ceal C. Ehlenburg

Ceal C. Ehlenburg, 88, Woodstock, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at ManorCare Nursing Home, Elk Grove Village.

She was born Sept. 20, 1928, to Herman and Ann (Sundrop) Koester n Piqua, Kan.  

On May 10, 1963, she married Harold Ehlenburg in Woodstock.

Ceal worked at the Woodstock Typewriter Factory for more than 25 years before they closed. She then worked at Guardian Electric.  She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She always enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially her nephew, Ron (Nancy) Porter.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary Ann Porter, Ruth Lampe and Eleanor Platte; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband.

Visitation was May 5 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.  

All other services were private.
