Trust the Torch!

Twenty-seven years after the Die Cast factory was demolished, 10 townhomes remain the only development on the 10-acre site. The green space around the townhouses is going to stay green for a while longer. Two years after the city chose Chicago Hubs Realty to develop a mix of senior housing, retail space, and a parking garage on the vacant land, the developer told the city it could not obtain financing for the project.  Independent Photo by Andrew Rousey
