Community Briefs: Medal of Honor, property taxes, ham radio operators field day, Girl Scouts

The Woodstock Garden Club recently chose 411 Herrington as its current Garden of the Month. The club reported the home and surrounding gardens are thoughtfully maintained by owners Rachelle Barmann and Tom Prudden. The gardens, tended by Barmann, include hostas and native plantings; and with an arborist background, Prudden maintains the many dogwoods, ninebark, weeping crabs, a Japanese tree lilac, and effective hardscapes.
