Remediation work over two days last week involved digging in front of the Frisbie Lohmeyer Insurance office at 131 Washington St. When work was done in 2021 to renovate A former gasoline station for the insurance company’s new office, a small leak from one of the old underground fuel tanks was found. A firm contracted by the EPA cleaned out the remaining contaminated soil last week, replacing it with clean soil.
