Independent Photos by Susan w. Murray Maggie Crane examines a photo of a business interior from the Woodstock Square, part of the late Jim Keefe’s collection of historical photos of Woodstock. Crane believes the photo is of a general store named Choate’s, at 103 E. Van Buren St., where Material Things does business today. The flags on the store’s ceiling look to have 45 stars, indicating that the photo might have been taken between 1896 and 1908. Oklahoma became the 46th state in the Union in November 1907. Forty-six-star flags were sold beginning in 1908.
