The Woodstock Independent: Marian grad adjusts to Canadian football
Photo for The independent by Dan Lipnowski Local football fans will remember quarterback Chris Streveler from his outstanding career at Marian Central Catholic High School (2008-’12). Streveler made his professional debut June 14 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League and started the first three games of the season in place of injured Matt Nichols. “He has a fiery passion for the game and to be the best player he can be,” former Marian teammate Liam Kirwan said. “It’s why he deserves this opportunity and why he’s working hard at it.”

Just one month after arriving in Winnipeg, Manitoba, former Marian Central Catholic High School standout Chris Streveler assumed the role of starting quarterback for the Canadian Football League’s Blue Bombers. […]
