Opera House to premiere short film,‘The Wanting’

Photo courtesy of Matt Sommerfield, Sommerfield Productions Inspired by the movies of the 1950s, especially those of Alfred Hitchcock, Marty McGinley wrote, produced, and directed a short film, “The Wanting,” which will premiere at the Woodstock Opera House on June 30. McGinley wanted to create a movie that draws the audience into the onscreen suspense, prompting the viewer to ask, “What would I do in this situation?”

When the short film “The Wanting” premieres at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Woodstock Opera House, it will represent a confluence of dreams in filmmaker Marty McGinley’s life. […]
