36-year-old victim was reported to be in stable condition
A Wonder Lake woman was arrested following a dispute which sent a man to the hospital with a stab wound.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. Oct. 29, deputies from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 7400 block of Maple Drive in unincorporated Wonder Lake, where they found a 36-year-old man who told deputies he had been stabbed in a “quarrel,” according to a press release from MCSO.
The man alleged Heather Bradigan, 32, of Wonder Lake, stabbed him after an argument. Bradigan fled the scene before MCSO deputies arrived. A search conducted by MCSO and assisted by the Wonder Lake Police Department led them to locate Bradigan in the 7400 block of Hancock Drive.
The man was taken by ambulance to Centegra Hospital-McHenry with minor injuries and was reported later to be in stable condition. Bradigan was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and aggravated battery to a police officer, both class 2 felonies, and resisting arrest. Bradigan remained in jail as of press time with a $7,500 bond and was due in court Nov. 1.
