A rollover accident in unincorporated Woodstock sent one person to the hospital in the early-morning hours of Nov. 13.
Crews from the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at 15412 South St. when a call came in at 6:23 a.m., according to WFRD Captain Karen Bush.
Crews arrived to assist the driver of a pickup truck that left the roadway, overturned and hit a tree. The driver of the truck, who did not need to be extricated, was transported to Centegra-Woodstock with injuries that were not life-threatening, Bush said.
A nearby vehicle skidded off the roadway but was not part of the accident.
“They witnessed the accident and had a reaction, but there were no injuries, and they were not necessarily related,” Bush said.
Though the roads were slick and heavy fog blanketed the area, it is unknown if these factors played a part in the incident, according to Bush.
