A Woodstock man already facing weapons charges was charged along with another Woodstock man for allegedly selling cocaine near a school.
Maurice C. Timberlake, 18, and Timmy C. Horn, 25, each were charged with multiple counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
Timberlake also faces charges — including unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, burglary and theft — stemming from a separate incident in which bullets were fired at houses on Woodstock’s Barbary Lane Oct. 20.
According to a press release from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the MCSO Narcotics Task Force conducted an undercover investigation into Horn and Timberlake.
Detectives made numerous undercover drug buys from the two men, according to the MCSO. Police said they seized 8 grams of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,200 following the investigation.
The two men were arrested separately. Their next court date is set for Nov. 13.
Horn and Timberlake are being held in the McHenry County Jail on bonds of $30,000 and $50,000, respectively.
