An evening session has been added to the schedule for a public hearing on changes at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock.
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board will host its main hearing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, with a second session added from 5 to 7 p.m. the same day.
The evening session was not originally on the board’s schedule. It was added to allow people to attend the hearing after the workday, according to Terry Willcockson, the city of Woodstock’s grants and communications manager.
State Rep. Steve Reick (R-Woodstock) said he made a request for an after-work hearing.
The board is considering four applications from Centegra Health System pertaining to consolidations and reductions in services at its hospitals. From 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 2, the board will hear testimony specific to the discontinuation of hospital beds at Centegra-Woodstock.
Willcockson said members of the public can speak during the main hearing and the evening hearing. Testimony at the main hearing will be divided among each of the four applications submitted by Centegra, but the evening session will allow for general comments on health care services in Woodstock, she said.
