The Woodstock Police Department recently made arrests in connection with multiple car burglaries and a stolen vehicle.
Two Woodstock men, Maurice C. Timberlake, 18, and Montez M. Moses, 22, face charges for their alleged involvement in a series of car break-ins and a vehicle theft reported in Woodstock earlier this month.
Timberlake was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, a Class 2 felony. Moses was charged with two counts of burglary, a Class 2 felony, and criminal trespass to a motor vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to a statement from the WPD, police officers responded to numerous incidents of unsecured vehicles being broken into March 9 and 10. Timberlake was arrested March 16, and Moses was arrested March 20.
“This case was successfully resolved through quality police work by several Woodstock Police officers and detectives,” said Police Chief John Lieb.
Lieb reminded residents to lock their cars.
Bond was set at $50,000 for Timberlake and $82,500 for Moses. Timberlake’s next court date is set for April 18. Moses’ next court date is set for March 31.
