Dorothy Guenther

Dorothy Guenther, 76, Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at her home.

She was born June 3, 1933, in Chicago, to Edward and Elizabeth (Mansolf) Mathley.

She was a 1951 graduate of Glenbard High School. She married George Guenther May 19, 1956, at St. Walter Church, Roselle.

She worked for nine years at John Plain and 36 years at Castolite Inc. She enjoyed her yards and flower gardens and her cats.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Guenther, and Keith (Cristin) Guenther; two granddaughters, Bridget and Madelyn; a brother-in-law, Les Guenther; and an aunt, Mary Mansolf.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her uncles and aunts, Joseph (Verla) Manslof and Otto (Mary) Mansloff; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Guenther.

The visitation and funeral Mass were held March 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marengo. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marengo.
