Margaret A. Johnson

Margaret A. Johnson, 88, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, in her home.

She was born June 17, 1921, in Woodstock, to Leo and Anna (Gross) Hart. She married Robert A. Johnson June 17, 1942.

She was a graduate of Woodstock High School and attended Northern Illinois Teachers College. In her early years, she taught in a rural school. Later she worked at Woodstock Die Casting as a secretary, retiring after 26 years of service in 1982.

Survivors include a son, James (Jamie) Johnson, Wonder Lake; a daughter, Ann (John) Hanson, Woodstock; five grandchildren, James Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Rebecca (Brian) Agrella, Andrew Hanson and Megan Hanson.

She was preceded in death by her husband March 4, 1997.

Visitation and funeral service were Jan. 6 in the chapel at the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodstock. Interment was private at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
