Ruby ChristensenRuby Christensen, 90, formerly of Wonder Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009. She was born March 27, 1919, in Warroad, Minn., to Arthur and Ethel Springsteel. She was a homemaker and enjoyed having her family around her. She had a passion for collecting things and had large collections of salt and pepper shakers, elephants and angels. She liked watching soap operas. Her dog, Rocky, was a special companion to her. She lived with her son, Stephen, in Vilonia, Ark. Survivors include five sons, Colin (Cindy) Christensen, Stephen Christensen, Kerry (Margaret) Christensen, Dennis (Carol) Christensen and Dean (Linda) Christensen; four daughters, Darleen (Beldon) Clark, Letty (Larry) Frank, June (Gene) Asselstine and Carol (Dick) Charette; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Bud; her first husband, Charles Holcomb; her second husband, Charles Christensen; and a daughter, Marlene (Steve) Zauzawchenuk.Visitation and the funeral were Nov. 9 at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, Cary. Burial followed.
