Marian Central Catholic High School sophomore Eli McGuire (1) is congratulated by his teammates, senior Erik Reibel (10), senior Dan Piggot (2), senior Mike Segarra and senior R.J. Carvis after he hit a grand slam in the fifth inning against Marmion Academy April 29 in Woodstock. The win helped keep the ’Canes in first place in the Suburban Catholic Conference.

New May 13, 2008:

School threat discovered at Creekside Middle School

The Woodstock Police Department was advised by staff at Creekside Middle School,

3201 Hercules Road, Woodstock, at approximately noon, Monday, May 12, that they

had discovered a written threat on a bathroom wall. In response, Woodstock Police

and Creekside Middle School staff conducted a thorough search of the building.

The police department initiated an investigation into the matter, which is continuing.
Additional Woodstock police officers will be present during school hours Tuesday,

May 13, to ensure the safety of students and faculty.
