Nurses charged in deaths at Woodstock Residence
Thursday a grand jury indicted Marty Himebaugh, a licensed practical nurse previously employed by Woodstock Residence, and Penny Whitlock, director of nursing, with several counts of neglect, fraud, unlawful use of a controlled substance and more.
The indictments and arrests follow an extensive 15-month investigation conducted by the Illinois State Police regarding several "suspicious" deaths at the nursing home facility.
Himebaugh and Whitlock face sentencing of one to three years in prison. Both individuals were arrested Friday and bond was set at $50,000 each. The charges are merely accusations and both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
