Ann Elizabeth Eigenfeld
Jeanette Elsie Porter
Lynette M. Glawe
Lynette M. Glawe, 81, Woodstock, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at her home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Dakota, to Otto and Ida Papke. She married Alfred B. Glawe Nov. 27, 1946, in Chicago.
She worked as an executive secretary for AT&T. She also was a member of Ridgefield-Crystal Lake Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Kay (Douglas) Begley, Woodstock; a son, Mark Alan (Dora) Glawe, Woodstock; and five grandchildren, Virginia (Mike) Massey, Elmhurst, William (Lisa) Glawe, Elk Grove Village, Richard Glawe, Fox Lake, Thomas Begley, Woodstock and Cheryl Glawe, Woodstock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and an aunt, Mildred Eckhardt.
Visitation was March 20 at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry. The funeral was March 21 at the funeral home. Interment with a committal service was March 21 at Memory Gardens Cemetery Chapel, Arlington Heights.

Robert Willard Mansfield
Robert Willard Mansfield, 79, Waco, Texas, formerly of Woodstock, died Saturday, March 8, 2008.
He was born July 25, 1928, in Woodstock, to Albert and Carrie (Westphal) Mansfield.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
He married Velma Smith June 13, 1951, in Waco. He and his family resided in Woodstock for many years. He worked for the Illinois Tollway Commission. An avid Blue Streaks fan, he volunteered many years as a referee at Woodstock High School football games. After the family moved to Texas, he worked for 23 years as a supervisor for the state highway department.
He was a loving husband and father who never knew a stranger. He adored his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and they loved him dearly.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Gary Albrecht, Rockford, Robert W. Mansfield, Ft. Meyers, Fla., James (Kimberly) Mansfield and Thomas Mansfield, Austin, Texas; a daughter, Judy Mathews, Waco; four grandchildren, Carolyn (Kenneth) Borak, Missouri City, Texas, Kristin Mathews (fiancé Michael Vineyard), Waco, and Robert Mansfield and Amanda Mansfield, Austin, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Larissa and Haden Borak, Missouri City, Texas; and two brothers, Albert (Eugenia) Mansfield and Charles (Shirley) Mansfield, Tomah, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Ray Lynn Mansfield; and three brothers, Harry Mansfield, William Mansfield and George “Toad” Mansfield.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Oak Crest Funeral Home, Waco. Memorial services were held March 13 at Apostolic Tabernacle, Waco. Military honors were provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard from Fort Hood.

Jean A. Schwarz, 73, Woodstock, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Centegra Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
She was born April 21, 1934, in Chicago, to John and Teofila (Lenart) Gasinski. She married Kenneth Schwarz March 7, 1959, in Chicago.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock. She was also a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge.
She was an avid bowler. Her greatest joy was being with her family.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Christine (Jeff) Howatt, Linda (Michael) Zabedny, Lori (Jack Ferguson) Schwarz and Karen (Chris) Meurer; a son, Kenneth (Monika) Schwarz; seven grandchildren, Scott and Brian Howatt, Eric, Samantha and Lisa Zabedny, Jordan Scheidler and Ben Meurer; and her twin sister, Dolores Guzzi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation was March 22 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
The funeral Mass was March 24 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock.
Burial was in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Woodstock.
Dorothy Asp
Dorothy Asp, 79, Woodstock, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at her home.
She was born April 12, 1928, in Spring Brook, Wis., to Elmer and Mary (Kately) Asp.
She worked for Woodstock Christian Life Services for 45 years, both at the Woodstock Children’s Home and Hearthstone Manor. She was a faithful 45-year member of the Free Methodist Church, Woodstock, where she volunteered for the Christian Youth Crusaders and helped with Sunday school.
Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Asp and Helen Heimerich; five brothers, Gilbert, Ted, Duane, Roger and Irvin Asp; and two sisters-in-law, Kathryne and Lois Asp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wendell, Orville and Leonard Asp; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Asp.
Visitation was March 25 at the Free Methodist Church. The funeral was March 26 at the church, with the Rev. David Cooper officiating. Burial was in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.

Ann Elizabeth Eigenfeld
Ann Elizabeth Eigenfeld, 53, Woodstock, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at her home.
She was born April 19, 1954, in South Bend, Ind., to Edward and Elizabeth (Brennan) Cronin. She married Kurt Eigenfeld May 11, 1985, in Des Plaines.
She loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed Irish music, planting flowers and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, William and Sean Eigenfeld; three daughters, Maureen, Kathleen and Margaret Eigenfeld; a brother, Dennis (Diane) Cronin; and 10 nieces and nephews, Colleen, Kevin, Sean, Ann, Bridget, Mary, Lisa, Sean, Colin and Megan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Pat, Mike and Brian Cronin; a sister, Mary Thomas; and a sister-in-law, Judy Cronin.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Hartland.

Jeanette Elsie Porter
Jeanette Elsie Porter, 84, Woodstock, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at her home.
She was born June 21, 1924, in Marion, Ind., to Claude and Cora May Collins. She married Glenn Allen Porter May 30, 1943.
During her childhood, she lived in Marion and South Bend, Ind., Chicago and Barrington. She graduated in 1942 from South Bend Central High School, where she met her husband.
She worked in aircraft support services during World War II while her husband was on duty with the U.S. Army Air Corps on Guam. After the war, she managed the operation of the farm in Indiana where she and her family lived. They lived in Cary from 1961 to 1976, when they moved to Lake Geneva, Wis., where they enjoyed living on the lakeshore for 25 years.
She was active in Eastern Star, working her way up to Grand Worthy Matron. She was also active in the Rebekahs.
She enjoyed ceramics, reading, travel and photography, but her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Meredith), Lawrence, Kan., Bryan (Peggy), Woodstock, Timothy (Cathy), Hebron, and Mark (Kathy), Lake Geneva; seven grandchildren, Jason (Allie) Porter, Austin, Tex., Corey (Stephanie Smith) Porter, Monrovia, Calif., Kyra (Tom) Tillman, Marengo, Lindsey Porter, (Alex Barber), London, Katrina Freund and Eric Porter, Lake Geneva, and Abby Porter, Orlando, Fla.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003.
A memorial service will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwyn & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.
