Patricia Savino Bolger, 63, Woodstock, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, in McHenry.
She was born Feb. 23, 1944, in Chicago, to Raymond and Dorothy Ann Sharp. She married Murray Dean Bolger April 20, 2000.
She worked for Sterling Auto Body in Crystal Lake.
She helped with the annual Trail of History in Ringwood. She enjoyed anything having to do with nature, gardening and reading.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas Savino, Greenwood, Michael (Shannon) Savino, Huntley, and David Savino, Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren, Peyton and Isabella Savino; a sister, Dorothy Mader, Hobe Sound, Fla.; and a brother, Richard Sharp, Scottsdale, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was Feb. 24 at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry.
Interment was private.
John K. Wett Jr.
John K. Wett Jr., 46, Crystal Lake, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Inpatient Unit, Woodstock.
He was born May 6, 1961, in Havana, to John K. Wett Sr. and C. Judith Swanson.
He attended St. Mary School, Woodstock, and graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was employed at KAM Tool and Die, Woodstock.
He was a devoted and dedicated father. He was a competent and gifted man, capable of fixing anything, and was a skilled carpenter. He loved animals and enjoyed his dogs and cat. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being outdoors.
Survivors include a daughter, Jillian, Crystal Lake; a son, J.J., Sycamore; his parents, Washington; his loving companion and best friend, Holly Richard; two brothers, Michael (Robin) Wett, Arlington Heights, and Steve (Jeannie) Wett, McHenry; two sisters, Andrea (Tim) Brooks, St. Joseph, and Jennifer (Brien) Friend, Washington; 14 nieces and nephews; a special aunt, Marilou Wett, Woodstock; Holly’s children, Jeremy, Jennifer and Ryan Richard and three grandchildren, Davenport, Iowa; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Visitation was Feb. 25 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. The funeral was Feb. 26 at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, P.O. Box 196, Libertyville, IL, 60048-0196, in honor of his son J.J., who was born with SMA; or to the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Inpatient Unit.

Lucile K. Smith, 87, Wheaton, formerly of Woodstock and Harvard, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield.
She was born Sept. 20, 1920.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Greg) Barber; a brother, Ervin Beth; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Smith; a brother, Harold Beth; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Beth and Agnes Beth.
A graveside service was held Feb. 27 at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Grace Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn.

Kenneth J. Korst
Kenneth J. Korst, 74, Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Centegra Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock, with family at his side.
He was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Flaxton, N.D., to William and Gertrude (Onstein) Korst. He married Gertrude A. Hinner March 2, 1957.
He graduated from Cooperstown High School, Cooperstown, N.D., in 1951. He served as a communication specialist in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict from 1952 to 1956.
He retired in 1999 as a production foreman at Morton Chemical Company, Ringwood, after 33 years of service.
He was a life member and past commander of Woodstock VFW Post 5040.
He enjoyed singing and playing golf. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He especially enjoyed fishing and boating, and he treasured time with his family and many friends at Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Debbie) Korst, Morris; two daughters, Cheryl Dye, Rockford, and Beverly (Brent) Schoepke, Big Bend, Wis.; a brother, “Ike” Korst, Tripoli, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Heidi (Zak) Jacobson, San Diego, Eric (Mary) Zingre, Rockford, James Zingre, Rockford, BreeAnne Zingre, Rockford, Kelly Korst, Champaign, Christopher Korst, Morris, and Monica Schoepke and Justin Schoepke, Big Bend; and a special friend, Milly Johnson, Crystal Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1998; and two brothers, Norman and Robert Korst.
A memorial service was held March 1 at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.

Peter August Gundelach
Peter August Gundelach, 65, Wonder Lake, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, in Riviera Beach, Fla.
He was born July 10, 1942, in Kochendorf, Germany, to Adolph and Irene (Hoel) Gundelach. He married Nancy DeCicco Nov. 5, 1983, in McHenry.
He was a general manager of a commercial laundry facility in Riviera Beach.
He loved dancing, camping, race cars, woodworking, lounging by the pool with his family and friends and bonfires. He loved to travel and loved to tell jokes and stories.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Germany; five sons, Christopher (JoAnne) DeCicco, Crystal Lake, Michael (Melissa) DeCicco, Wonder Lake, John (Laura) DeCicco, Wonder Lake, Benjamin (Alison) DeCicco, McHenry, and Claus Gundelach, Germany; three daughters, Carly (Ted) Rexford, McHenry, and Diane Gundelach and Tanja Prange, both of Germany; 19 grandchildren, Brianna, Jason, Mark, Hayley, Max, Nathan, Jack, Rachel, Brooklynn, MicKenzie, Gavin, Riley, Josie and Christian DeCicco, Alexandria and Noah DuMez, Logan Rexford, Corey Golz-Rexford and Nadia Prange; two brothers, Max and Herman (Angela) Gundelach, Germany; four sisters-in-law, Margaret Major, Teresa Cottrell, Mary Anne Goldenburg and Jeannie (Eugene) Hansen; two brothers-in-law, Loring and Matthew Olk; an aunt, Maria Bonner, and a nephew, Claus, Virginia; Aunt Clara and Uncle Karl, Germany; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews in the McHenry area.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; a grandson, Jonathan; a brother-in-law, Ronald Cottrell; a niece, Veronica Cottrell; a daughter-in-law, Danielle DeCicco; and his mother-in-law, Margaret Buttell.
Visitation was Feb. 28 at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry. The funeral Mass was Feb. 29 at the Church of Holy Apostles, McHenry. Interment was in Holy Apostles Cemetery, McHenry. Donations can be made in care of Nancy Gundelach at Wonder Lake State Bank.
Frances Marie Leske
Frances Marie Leske, 72, Woodstock, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at her home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1935, in Chicago, to John Francis and Catherine (Stager) Lennon. She married William R. Leske Aug. 21, 1955, in St. Lawrence Church, Chicago.
Formerly of Chicago, she moved with her husband to Cary in the early 1960s and in 1975 moved to a house they had built on a large parcel of land in rural Woodstock.
She was an active volunteer in the Woodstock area, working at the free clinic, taking time to give rides to people who needed them and also delivering Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include two sisters, Marguerite Lennon and Jean (John) Barstow, both of Glenview.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband March 19, 2007.

Brian G. Doyle
Brian G. Doyle, 53, Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at his home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1954, in Chicago, to Frank and Ellen (Chambers) Doyle. He married Laura Wittlinger Feb. 22, 1974, in Chicago.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennifer (Tony Ingraffia) Doyle, Crystal Lake; a son, Jeff Doyle, Woodstock; his mother; two brothers, Frank (Paula) Doyle and Ray Doyle; four sisters, Mary Cleys, Karen (Dan) McGloon, Sharon Doyle and Margie (Dan) Pierre; and two grandchildren, Brenna Ingraffia and Colin Doyle.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation and service were March 3 at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry, with Deacon Mark Raz officiating.
Interment was private.

Donald Nicholas Gaspar
Donald Nicholas Gaspar, 72, Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at his home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1935, in Berwyn, to Nicholas and Margaret (Wagner) Gaspar. He married Cary A. Franklin in Woodstock in 1984.
He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. He had been employed with the ALP Corp., retiring as vice president of packaging. He was an accomplished basketball coach and a longtime volunteer with the Woodstock Boys Basketball Association. He was a participant in the Senior Olympics basketball event. He won numerous medals, and his team took fourth place nationally. He also was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Christine (Al) Paciora, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Karen (Doug) Bunn, Williamsburg, Va.; three sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Gaspar, Harvard, John Gaspar, Woodstock, and Evan Gaspar, Woodstock; a brother, Nicholas (Judy) Gaspar, Santa Ana, Calif.; two sisters, Lorraine (Joseph) Dominick, Red Bluff, Calif., and Delores (Len) Ryba, Peru, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary, Helen and Margaret; and a brother, Clare.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. A time of remembrance is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Interment will be private.
Memorials can be made to either the ALS Association or the Woodstock Boys Basketball Association.
Beulah Evelyn Wernet
Beulah Evelyn “Dutch” Wernet, 92, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Winchester House, Libertyville.
She was born March 4, 1915, in Chicago, to Otto and Irene Schulz.
She was a hard-working child of the Depression who overcame the loss of her mother at an early age and the struggles of the time. She married her childhood sweetheart, Frank, whom she met at age 13 and was devoted to throughout her life.
In her early years, she was a competitive swimmer. Later, she led Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, and she taught swimming and diving as well as craft and cooking classes. She enjoyed dancing and singing, riding her three-wheeler and traveling around Chicago and the Midwest.
A 25-year resident of Bull Valley, she lived for a short time at The Fountains at Crystal Lake. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock, and spent her final days in the company of good friends and caregivers at the Winchester House.
She was proud of her family and had a warm heart for children and animals of all types and sizes.
Survivors include three sons, Francis (Jeanette) Wernet, Florenz (Theresa) Wernet and Joseph (Theresa) Wernet; a daughter, Irene (Brian) Miller; six grandchildren, Anthony (Rhonda) Miller, Christine (Robert) Jasch, Michael (Stephanie) Wernet, Mark (Katie) Wernet, Paul (Suzy) Wernet and Kurt (Laila) Wernet; and five great-grandchildren Keith, Rebecca, Payton, Sophia and Brady.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ellsworth; and her husband, Frank Xavier Wernet,
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, 8033 W. Addison, Chicago.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
