Youth basketball post-season begins

In the fifth- and sixth-grade youth basketball playoffs, Tony Riak Consulting/Trench It (Sutter) defeated Krenger Realty/Woodstock F.O.P. (Grisiola) by the score of 31-26.
Both teams played extremely hard from start to finish on both ends of the floor. Daniel Butler and Doug Devore paced the winners with six points each. Cameron Grisiola remained hot with 11 points in a losing effort.
JT Petco/S.L.M.C. Funeral Home (Nerland) defeated Timber Creek Nursery/Scott Miller Carpentry (Lindell) 37-29. Both teams gave the fans a great game. Eric Bell, Ethan Conroy, Ethan Geggie and Evan Peterson had eight points each in the win. Deven Meyer poured in nine points for a losing cause.
ICG Building Management/Woodstock Dental Associates (Ammo) defeated JT Petco/S.L.M.C. Funeral Home (Nerland) by the score of 36-29. Damien Stoneking’s 17 points and Josh Jandron’s 11 points led the winners in a hard-fought battle. Ethan Geggie and Ethan Conroy scored 13 points and eight points, respectively, for the losing team.
Centerville Properties/Zieman Homes (Layoff) beat Tony Riak Consulting/Trench It (Sutter) by the score of 33-23 in hard-fought game.
Augie Scott paced the winners with 22 points. Daniel Butler continued to stay hot by scoring 10 points in a losing effort.
B & Z Electrical Contractors/Woodstock Little League (Kohler) defeated Mark Mitchell State Farm (Brown/Mitchell) in a barnburner 23-21. Both teams battled their hearts out from the beginning.
Mark Stroh and Alex Ferguson paced the winners with six points each. Trevor Ball had a game-high 12 points for the losing team.
Coral Lake Sand & Gravel/Woodstock Auto Detail (Heeren) topped Kline Family Group/Days & Crawford Scrapmetal(Walde) by the score of 46-29. Mike Santucci scored 12 points and Bradon Abt added 10 points for the winners. Michael Chonos led all scorers with 19 points in a losing effort.
Mobile Vet/John L. Sullivan State Farm (Sullivan) defeated Coral Lake Sand & Gravel/Woodstock Auto Detail (Heeren) 37-19. Nick Herscha had a game-high 15 points for the winning team. Bradon Abt threw in nine points for the losing team.
Blue Ribbon Millwork/Music In Motion (Kohley) defeated B & Z Electrical Contractors/Woodstock Little League (Kohler) 37-21. Mitch Kohley had 15 points for the winners. Alex Ferguson pitched in 16 points in a losing effort.
In the third- and fourth-grade playoffs, Merryman Excavating (Coalson) defeated CCP Global (Ritter) by the score of 28-20. Marshall Coalson, Eric Ruschke and Isiah Webb scored six points each. Jimmy Springer threw in eight points in a losing cause.
LaFontaine Properties (Turner) defeated Cullys’ Plumbing (Molve) by the score of 31-23 in this hard-fought battle. Nick Kubiak, Blake Waterson, and Josh Turner scored six points each for the winning team. Will Devore’s nine points and Kyler Frahm’s eight points led the losing team.
Merryman Excavating (Coalson) defeated Kenya Kleen (Eisenmenger) 33-18. Eric Ruschke scored 14 points and Isiah Webb had 12 in a winning cause. Vic Ortiz and Justyn Eisenmenger paced the losing team with six points each.
Woodstock Travel Baseball (Schultz) beat Prescast Companies (Woodson) by the score of 19-16 in a great game from both teams. Kanaan Pena led the winners with a game-high 17 points. Joey Albertz had six points in a losing effort.
RDK Masonry (Langreck) defeated Northern Prairie Properties (Byrnes) 14-8 in this defensive battle of the day. John Kubacha scored eight points for the winners. Matt Byrnes scored four points in a losing cause.
Manning Concrete/Miceli Drapery (Medina) defeated RDK Masonry (Langreck) 41-27. Logan Medina and Danny Manning had 10 points each for the winning. Sam Wright paced the losing team with four points.
Music In Motion (Zinnen) defeated the team of KII Electrical Contractors (Johnson) by the score of 15-14 in this back-and-forth battle. Mason Conroy and Sam Gibson had six and five points each for the winners. Randy Kline, Sam Lynn and Max Lynn had four points each in a losing cause.
Shook Construction (Shook) defeated Music In Motion (Zinnen) by the score of 28-14 to keep their playoff hopes alive. Langdon Scott paced the winners with 10 points. Mason Conroy poured in six points for the losing team.
LaFontaine Enterprises (Turner) kept their playoff dreams alive with a strong victory over Woodstock Travel Baseball (Schultz) 30-14. Josh Turner scored 12 points and Nick Kubiak added 10 points to lead the winners. Kannan Pena had 10 points in a losing cause.
Kenya Kleen (Eisenmenger) defeated Geske & Sons (Heeren) by the score of 31-24 in this hard-fought battle.
Daniel Mutter paced the winners with a game-high 13 points. Adrian Geske scored nine points and Wyatt Walkington added seven points keeping it close all game for the losing team.
