Maryann H. Winkelman

Maryann H. Winkelman, 88, Woodstock, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Valley Hi Nursing Home, Woodstock.
She was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Muscoda, Wis., to John and Florence (Boch) Gies.
On June 2, 1945, she married Harold Winkelman at St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hartland.  She worked for Woodstock School District 200 Transportation Department for several years.  She was always very active at her home, assisting with all the chores associated with running a family farm.  She was a family-oriented person, always putting her family first. 
Survivors include her husband; a son, Kenneth (Jan) Winkelman Sr.; a daughter, Debbie (Rick) Labaz; six grandchildren, Kenneth (Katie) Winkelman Jr., Gail (Sean) Anuskewicz, Paul (Melissa) Winkelman, Mark Winkelman, Brook Winkelman and Sarah (Adam Marshall) Labaz; a great-grandson, Emmett Winkelman; a brother, Jack (Margaret) Gies; two sisters-in-law, Jane Gies and Frances Gies; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Winkelman; a daughter, Diane Gluth; and two brothers, Delbert Gies and William Gies.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the the funeral service at 11a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.  Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Woodstock.
