Yvonne Wolff, 85, formerly of Woodstock

Yvonne Lee Wolff, 85, formerly of Woodstock, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, in Mountain View, Mo.

She was born Feb. 13, 1931, to Guy Crain and Frances Irene (Price) Crain in Elgin. 

On Aug. 21, 1948, she married Howard Theordore Wolff.

She worked for Woodstock Memorial Hospital for many years and also volunteered in the emergency room.  She was a longtime member of the VFW Auxilary as well as St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Woodstock, where she held many different positions including being on the vestry.

She was a loving, supportive mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor.  She always made time to attend all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and events.  She was a strong, independent woman who always put her family first.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Vernon Wolff, Donna Wolff and Linda (Chip) Wolff-Brewer; five grandchildren, Tami Wolff-Forgione, Tony (Debbie) Wolff, Rhys (Rosie) Wolff, Renee Thiede and Sara (Eric) Rossi; a special friend, Tillie Wilkerson; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Tonya Wolff.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, until the memorial service at 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, 503 W. Jackson St. Burial will be at noon at McHenry County Memorial Park.

The family requests donations be made to St. Ann’s Episcopal Church.
