Sarah Bingham and Michael Putman were married in a double-ring
ceremony Sept. 4, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church, Woodstock. The Rev. M. Paul Nelson officiate.
About The Couple
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Woodstock High School and a 2009 graduate
of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She works at DIRTT Environmental Solutions, Chicago.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Woodstock High School a 2009 graduate of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn., and is a third-year medical student at the University of Chicago.
The couple makes their home in Chicago.
Parents
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Nancy Bingham, Woodstock. The groom is the son of Bruce and Susan Putman, Woodstock.
Bridesmaids
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Laura Persick, Janesville, Wis.
Bridesmaids were Clair Walkington, Chicago, Alana Gerson, New York City,
Leah Krandel, New Orleans, Kelsey Duhai, Rockton, Laura Prorock, DeKalb, and Emily Larkin, Fairfield, Conn.
Groomsmen
The best man was the groom’s brother, Kenneth Putman, Woodstock. The
groomsmen were Kenneth Long, Chicago, Thomas McGraw, Chicago,
Andrew D’Alessandro, North Ponte Vedra, Fla., Justin Miller, Atlanta, Ga., Ryan DeCraene, Woodstock, and Brian Linklater, Chicago.
About The Wedding
- Ceremonial music included classical pieces performed by vocalists Christopher Persick, Janesville, Wis., and Christy Johanson, Woodstock. They were accompanied by Danik Kooistra, Woodstock.
- The bride wore an ivory lace floor-length gown and carried a cascading bouquet of white orchids and calla lilies. The bride’s attendants wore plum floor-length gowns and carried white calla lilies.
- The groom wore a black tuxedo with ivory vest and tie. The groomsmen wore dark grey tuxedos with lavender vests and ties.
- Special guests were Charlotte Bingham, grandmother of the bride; and Phyllis Duhm and Laura Davis, grandmothers of the groom.
- After a reception at the Riviera Ballroom in Lake Geneva, the couple honeymooned in Costa Rica.
