Doris M. Keane, 89, Walworth, Wis., formerly of Harvard

Doris M. Keane, 89, Walworth, Wis., formerly of Florida and Harvard, died Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Golden Years Nursing Home, Walworth.

She was born Oct. 10, 1926, to Bertrand and Marie (Cantin) Lambert in Manchester, N.H.

On Aug. 18, 1951, she married Patrick M. Keane Jr., in Battle Creek, Mich.  

She worked as a registered nurse at Woodstock Memorial Hospital for 22 years. 

She was a devoted Catholic, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was kind and compassionate, charitable, strong, patient and faithful. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing and word puzzles.

Survivors include nine children, Deacon Michael (Deborah) Keane, Marengo, Colleen (Richard) Nelson, Woodstock, Dr. Kevin Keane, Cochranville, Penn., Mary (Terry) Whiston, Arlington Heights, Sheila (Larry) Hansen, Woodstock, Patricia (Carl) Nomm, Woodstock, Nancy (David) Thurow, Woodstock, and Alice (David) Henson, Harvard; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Thomas Patrick; and a sister, Theresa Dusten.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. A Rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St., Harvard, with the Rev. Steven Clarke officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
