Elaine J. Stock

Elaine J. Stock, 82, Rockford, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Alpine Fireside Health Center, Rockford.

She was born Sept. 19, 1932,  to Paul and Ella (Schmarje) Hildebrandt in Woodstock. 

On Sept. 24, 1955, she married Jack W. Stock in Woodstock. 

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Machesney Park, where she was active for many years.  She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.  She worked for several florists in the area including Nelson’s Flowers, which she owned for nine years.  She enjoyed the outdoors, bird-watching and baking, but mostly she loved spending time with her sons and grandchildren. 

Survivors include three sons, Mark (Jody) Stock, Douglas (Dawn) Stock and David (Tina) Stock; five grandchildren, Andria (Stephen) Brass, Nathan (Allison) Stock, and Lindsay, Ashley and Heidi Stock; two great-grandchildren, Adalee and Rhett Brass; two brothers, Gene (Millie) and Glenn (Deloris) Hildebrandt; a brother-in-law, John Unruh; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; twin grandsons; two sisters, Edna Unruh and Vera Schnulle; and two brothers, Lyle and Paul Hildebrandt. 

Visitation was April 19 in Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park. The funeral was April 20 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Machesney Park.  Burial was in Scandinavian Cemetery.
