Clarence P. Stackhouse

Clarence P. Stackhouse, 88, rural Woodstock, died at home Wednesday, April 15, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born Dec. 30, 1926, to Ralph and Clara Stackhouse in Geneva, Iowa.

On Dec. 30, 1947, he married Joyce E. White at her parents’ home.

He farmed in rural Woodstock all his life. He also worked as a custodian at Marengo High School for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Jane (Ray) Kastning, Richard (Joyce) Stackhouse and Steven (Linda) Stackhouse; eight grandchildren, Michael Kastning, Lori (Mike) Miles, Richard (Jessica) Stackhouse Jr., Jennifer (Scott) Wolf, Kristina (Willie) Seager, Scott (Shawn) Lehman, Keith (Lisa) Lehman and Michelle (Steve) Polizzi; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy D. (Betty) Stackhouse Sr.

Visitation was April 19 at  Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home.  The funeral was April 20 at the funeral home. Interment was at McHenry County Memorial Park.
