Anna Rybaruk

Anna Rybaruk, 95, Aurora, formerly of Woodstock, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Alden of Waterford Nursing Home, Aurora.

She was of Ukrainian descent, born on May 12, 1919, to George and Henrika Miz in Lvov, Poland. After relocating to Austria as a deplaced person, she studied pharmacy before coming to America in 1950 with her parents and daughter Christine to live in Chicago. She moved to Woodstock in 1952 after marrying Petro Rybaruk.

She worked with her husband at Hinner Rose Farm for several years. She then worked for Guardian Electric until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her cats. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Woodstock.

Survivors include a daughter, Christine Chawgo; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Wold, Matthew Bishop and Stephanie (Kevin) Hsieh; nine great-grandchildren, Logan Bishop, Kelsey Bishop, Broden Bishop, Kian Bishop, Christopher Bishop, Anja Hsieh, Kai Hsieh, Adam Wold and Lucy Wold; a brother, Lubomir Miz; three nieces and nephews, Dr. George (Maureen) Miz, Sandy (Mike) Kadykalo and Dr. Andrew (Jodi) Miz; and six great-nieces and -nephews, Alec Miz, Andrea Miz, Andy Kadykalo, Christine Kadykalo, Stephanie Kadykalo and Anderson Miz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Sept. 28, 2002.

Visitation and funeral mass were held April 9 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock.
