Ronald R. Berg

Ronald R. Berg, 78, Wonder Lake, died Monday, April 9, 2012, in the Inpatient Unit of Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, Barrington.

He was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Chicago to Raymond E. and Amanda M. (Linn) Berg.

On Aug. 24, 1957, he married Nancy M. Graham in Park Ridge.

He was a resident of Wonder Lake for 51 years and a member of the Teamsters Union for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1960 with the Airborne Squadron.He was a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge 1329.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nancy; two sons, James (Lisa) Berg, Woodstock, and Alan (Ruth) Berg, Carol Stream; three daughters, Cindy Berg, Ingleside, Susan Berg, Elgin, and Pam (Danny) Sorensen, Wonder Lake; 10 grandchildren, Jared, Nicole, Britany, Michelle, Melissa, Michaela, Audrey, James, Hannah and Jeremiah; two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Eden; a brother, Raymond Edward (Jewel) Berg Jr., Rolling Meadows; a niece, Vickie; a nephew, Robert; and his stepmother, Muriel Peters Berg, Schaumburg. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Alan.

The memorial service was held Friday, April 13, at Woodstock Bible Church. Internment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
